The Role of Neural Crest Cells

How Can ScienCell’s Neural Crest Cells Streamline Your Developmental and Pathology Studies?

When reliable, high-purity cells are essential, origin and quality matter. ScienCell offers two well-characterized Human Neural Crest Cell (NCC) lines from distinct stem cell sources for precision in disease modeling and tissue regeneration.

Each P1 cryopreserved vial contains over 1 × 106 cells, rigorously tested and confirmed free of mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi.

The Power of Multipotency

Neural Crest Cells (NCC) are highly diverse and naturally multipotent, capable of differentiating into a wide range of cell types, including peripheral neurons, smooth muscle cells, melanocytes and etc. With the appropriate growth factors and reagents, revived NCC can be guided into specific lineages, making them a powerful model for studying development, tissue engineering, and disease pathology.

Neural Crest Cells (NCC) were generated from pluripotent stem cells within 7 days with SMAD and GSK3 inhibitors, coupled with fine-tuned BMP signaling.

Their neural crest identity is validated by immunofluorescence staining for Sox10 and P75. For optimal culture, we recommend using the provided Neural Crest Cell Medium (NCCM, Cat. No. 1641) for plating and short-term expansion.
