Mycoplasma Elimination Solution (10 mg/ml; 1 ml)

Mycoplasma elimination solution (10 mg/ml) is formulated to efficiently eliminate mycoplasma contamination from cell culture. It is effective at removing mycoplasma, gram positive and gram-negative bacteria. Mycoplasma elimination solution (MES) inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase necessary for active and non-active growth phases. This product can be used to prevent infection of cells by mycoplasma and remove of mycoplasma.

Add fresh mycoplasma elimination solution to culture medium and change medium every 3-4 days. A two-week treatment should be sufficient to eliminate contamination. The effective working concentration ranges from 5-25 µg/ml; 10 µg/ml is ideal for most applications. The optimal concentration, however, should be determined for individual cell types and culture conditions.
