AP-1 GFP Reporter Vector
The AP-1 (Activator Protein-1) signaling pathway regulates the transcription of genes involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, survival, inflammation, stress responses, and immune regulation. AP-1 is composed mainly of JUN, FOS, ATF, and related transcription factor family members that form heterodimers and bind to AP-1 DNA response elements within target gene promoters. Upon activation by extracellular stimuli, signaling pathways including MAPK cascades (ERK, JNK, and p38) promote phosphorylation and activation of AP-1 components, increasing their transcriptional activity. The AP-1 GFP Reporter Vector is a plasmid-based fluorescent reporter designed for real-time monitoring of AP-1-dependent transcriptional activity in mammalian cells. It contains multimerized AP-1 response elements upstream of GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein), allowing pathway activation to induce GFP expression for direct visualization of AP-1 signaling in living cells without cell lysis or additional detection reagents.
