Astrocyte Medium (AM) consists of 500 ml of basal medium, 10 ml of fetal bovine serum (FBS, Cat. No. 0010), 5 ml of astrocyte growth supplement (AGS, Cat. No. 1852) and 5 ml of penicillin/streptomycin solution (P/S, Cat. No. 0503).

Endothelial Cell Medium (ECM) consists of 500 ml of basal medium, 25 ml of FBS (Cat. #0025), 5 ml of Endothelial Cell Growth Supplement (ECGS, Cat. #1052) and 5 ml of penicillin/streptomycin solution (P/S, Cat. #0503). Note: FBS, ECGS and P/S are not pre-mixed in ECM; they must be added separately to make the complete ECM.

PM consists of 500 ml of basal medium, 10 ml of FBS (Cat. #0010), 5 ml of Pericyte Growth Supplement (PGS, Cat. #1252) and 5 ml of penicillin/streptomycin solution (P/S, Cat. #0503). Note: FBS, PGS and P/S are not pre-mixed in PM; they must be added separately to make the complete PM.

Isolated from human brain. HBMEC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. Each vial contains >5 x 10⁵ cells in 1 ml volume.

Recommended for use as a cell culture substratum at 1-5 µg/cm². Optimal concentration depends on cell type.
