DMEM with L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate and HEPES
DMEM with L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate and HEPES (DMEM) well suited for supporting the growth of a broad range of mammalian cell lines.
Many modifications of eagle's medium have been developed since the original formulation. The most widely used modification is Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM), which was developed in 1969. HEPES buffer is included in DMEM formulation at a final concentration of 25 mM to compensate for the loss of buffering capacity incurred by eliminating serum. DMEM with L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate and HEPES (09231) is a sterile, liquid medium which contains essential and non-essential amino acids, vitamins, organic and inorganic compounds, hormones, growth factors and trace minerals. DMEM is well suited for supporting the growth of a broad range of mammalian cell lines.
DMEM with L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate and HEPES is for research use only. It is not approved for human or animal use, or for application in in vitro diagnostic procedures.
