ScienCell研究实验室提供的大鼠神经元(RN-r)来源于E14期CD® IGS大鼠脑纹状体组织分离获得。RN-r细胞于P0代进行冻存,并以冷冻状态提供。每支冻存管含>1 × 106个细胞,冻存体积为1 mL。
The tissue of the central nervous system is made up of two classes of cells that may be broadly categorized as neurons and glia. Neurons are anatomic, functional, and trophic units of the brain. Neurons are dynamically polarized cells responsible for electrochemically transmitting information throughout the nervous system. The adult rat brain has been shown to contain 200 million neurons. Scientists have characterized hundreds of neuron types based on location, morphology and gene expression. The raphe nuclei are clusters of mostly serotonergic neurons located in the brain stem. Raphe neurons send projections to the forebrain, brain stem and spinal cord to regulate mood, memory and circadian rhythms. Primary rat neurons-raphe (RN-r) are a useful in vitro model for studying conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, depression, and narcolepsy.
RN-r from ScienCell Research Laboratories are isolated from embryonic day 14 CD® IGS rat brain striatum. RN-r are cryopreserved at P0 and delivered frozen. Each vial contains >1 x 106 cells in 1 ml volume. RN-r are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to β-tubulin III. RN-r are negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi. RN-r are guaranteed to further culture in the conditions provided by ScienCell Research Laboratories however, RN-r are not recommended for expanding or long-term cultures since the cells do not proliferate in culture.

It is recommended to use Neuronal Medium (NM, Cat. #1521) for culturing of RN-r in vitro.

中缝核(raphe nuclei)是一组主要由5-羟色胺能神经元构成的细胞群,位于脑干区域。中缝核神经元向前脑、脑干及脊髓发送投射信号,在情绪调控、记忆形成及昼夜节律调节中发挥重要作用。原代大鼠中缝核神经元(RN-r)是研究阿尔茨海默病、抑郁症及发作性睡病等疾病的重要体外模型。
ScienCell研究实验室提供的大鼠中缝核神经元(RN-r)来源于胚胎第14天(E14)CD® IGS大鼠脑纹状体组织分离获得。RN-r细胞于P0代冻存,并以冷冻状态提供。每支冻存管含>1 × 106个细胞,冻存体积为1 mL。RN-r通过针对β-微管蛋白III(β-tubulin III)的特异性抗体进行免疫荧光鉴定。经检测,RN-r不含支原体、细菌、酵母及真菌污染。在ScienCell提供的培养条件下可维持存活,但不建议进行扩增或长期培养,因为该细胞在体外不具备增殖能力。
