STEMium™ Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Growth Medium - Xeno-Free (STEMium-XF)

STEMium-xf™ is a xeno-free medium designed for optimal growth of human embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells under feeder-free conditions. It is a sterile, liquid medium containing essential and non-essential amino acids, vitamins, organic and inorganic compounds, hormones, growth factors and trace minerals. It is made with synthetic, plant-derived, and human-derived components and is free of bovine and other animal-derived components. The medium is bicarbonate buffered and has a pH of 7.4 when equilibrated in an incubator with an atmosphere of 5% CO2/ 95% air. STEMium™ is formulated (quantitatively and qualitatively) to provide an optimally balanced nutritional environment that selectively promotes growth of normal human embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells in vitro. This medium should be used in conjunction with Geltrex™ or BD Matrigel™ for feeder-free culture conditions.
