Recombinant Human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor D
Recombinant Human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor D is a 26.2 kDa homodimeric protein composed of two 117 amino acid polypeptide chains, without disulfide linkages.
Recombinant Human VEGF-D is a 26.2 kDa homodimeric protein composed of two 117 amino acid polypeptide chains, without disulfide linkages. As a member of the PDGF/VEGF family, VEGF-D plays crucial roles in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. It undergoes complex proteolytic processing, resulting in multiple forms that can bind and activate both VEGFR-2 and VEGFR-3 receptors. Structurally and functionally similar to VEGF-C, VEGF-D stimulates lymphangiogenesis and angiogenesis, promotes endothelial cell proliferation and migration, and increases blood vessel permeability. It is expressed in various adult tissues, with highest expression in fetal lungs and skin, and is particularly active in neonatal lymphatic maturation and bone growth.
