Astrocyte Growth Supplement-animal (AGS-a) is for research use only. It is not approved for human or animal use, or for application in in vitro diagnostic procedures.
Astrocyte Growth Supplement-animal (AGS-a) is a sterile, concentrated (100X) solution which contains growth factors, hormones, and proteins necessary for the culture of normal animal astrocytes. The supplement is formulated (quantitatively and qualitatively) to provide an optimally balanced environment that selectively supports the growth of normal animal astrocytes in vitro.
For best results, use AGS-a in conjunction with 500 ml Astrocyte Medium-animal-b (AM-a-b, Cat #1831-b) and 10 ml fetal bovine serum (FBS, Cat #0010).
