3D-Hepatic Stellate Cell Spheroid Medium
3D-SteCSpM consists of 200 ml of basal medium, 4 mL of FBS (Cat. #0004), 2 mL of 3D-stellate cell spheroid supplement (3D-SteCSpS, Cat. #3D-5352) and 2 mL penicillin/streptomycin solution (P/S, Cat. #0583). Note: 3D-SteCSpS, FBS and P/S are not pre-mixed in the 3D-SteCSpM; they must be added separately to make the complete medium.
3D-Hepatic Stellate Cell Spheroid Medium (3D-SteCSpM) is a specialized medium designed for the generation and maintenance of spheroids consisting of human primary hepatic stellate cells in vitro in conjunction with fetal bovine serum (FBS, Cat. #0004) and 3D-stellate cell spheroid supplement (3D-SteCSpS, Cat. #3D-5352). 3D-SteCSpM is a sterile, viscous medium which contains essential and non-essential amino acids, vitamins, organic and inorganic compounds, and trace minerals. The medium is bicarbonate buffered and has a pH of 7.4 when equilibrated in an incubator with an atmosphere of 5% CO2/95% air.
