Glucose provides the primary energy source for cells in culture media. ScienCell’s Glucose Solution (Cat #0893; GS) consists of 100mL of 45% D-glucose dissolved in cell
culture grade water and is filter-sterilized. In humans, the normal blood glucose concentration approximates 1g/L. Cell culture media formulations typically contain 1-
6g/L glucose; however, the optimal concentration should be determined for individual cell types and culture conditions.
