Antimycotic Solution (AMS) is a 50mL 100x solution designed to aid researchers in reducing risks of fungal contamination. It consists of 250μg/ml amphotericin B with sodium deoxycholate in saline solution. Amphotericin enhances the permeability of the fungal cell wall, making it susceptible to the leakage of its inner contents. 1mL of AMS is to be used for every 99mL of medium. The solution is sterilized through a 0.2μm membrane filter.
