APOE Genotyping Service
APOE Genotyping Service & APOE-Genotyped Neurons
ScienCell now offers APOE genotyping for human brain-derived cells and customer samples. The Apolipoprotein E (APOE) gene, with its ε2, ε3, and ε4 variants, is a key genetic factor influencing Alzheimer’s disease risk, lipid metabolism, and neuronal function. Knowing your APOE genotype helps improve model selection, reproducibility, and data interpretation.
Our Offerings
- APOE-Genotyped Cells: Primary cells such as neurons, astrocytes, and microglia available with APOE Genotype Certificates (COA) for select donors.
- Custom APOE Genotyping Service: Send us your DNA or cell samples, and our scientists will determine the APOE genotype and provide the COA within 1–2 weeks.
Why It Matters
APOE genotype affects neuronal lipid metabolism, amyloid-β clearance, and stress response, factors central to Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative disease studies.
Applications
- Alzheimer’s and aging research
- Drug screening and neurotoxicity testing
- iPSC-derived and primary neuron characterization
