ScienCell's GeneQuery™ Human Nervous System Tumors qPCR Array Kit (GQH-NER) profiles 88 key genes involved in the establishment and progression of human nerve tissue tumors. This kit focuses on brain tumors but also includes genes associated with neuroblastomas. Both benign and malignant nervous system tumors that occur in the brain are likely to cause symptoms due to location and require treatment. Included genes may be grouped according to their associated tumor type as briefly exemplified below:
- Gliomas: BMP2, IDH1, NES, STAT6, TP53
- Meningiomas: DRD1, GFAP, IGF1, IL6R, LIFR, MMP9
- Neuroblastomas: ALK, ARID3B, LIN28B, MYCN, NME1, NRAS
- Astrocytomas: CCND1, CDK4, ITGB1, KRAS, NF1, PTPN11
- General brain cancers: AKT1, BIRC6, GLI3, MDM2, PTEN, SOX2
GeneQuery™ qPCR array kits are qPCR ready in a 96-well plate format, with each well containing one primer set that recognizes and efficiently amplifies a specific target gene's cDNA. The carefully designed primers ensure that: (i) the optimal annealing temperature in qPCR analysis is 65°C (with 2 mM Mg2+ and no DMSO); (ii) the primer set recognizes all known transcript variants of the target gene, unless otherwise noted; and (iii) only one gene is amplified. Each primer set has been validated by qPCR with melt curve analysis and gel electrophoresis.
